Add member fields
Keep extra details on every member, like T-shirt size or an emergency contact.
Member fields are extra details your club keeps on every member: a T-shirt size, an emergency contact, allergies, a belt or level. You decide what they are and who can see them. They show in each member’s details, can be roster columns and filters, and come along when you export or import your roster.
Add a field
Open the Member fields tab
Open Club Settings (Settings at the bottom of the sidebar) and go to Member fields. The Add fields button on the Setup checklist goes to the same place. You can also do it from any member: on the Details tab, Additional fields has Add fields (or Manage once you have some), which opens the same editor. Either way, a field applies to every member of your club.
Start from a preset, or click Add field
Under Presets, + T-shirt size, + Emergency contact name, + Emergency contact phone, + Allergies and + Medical notes fill in the form for you. For anything else, click Add field.
Fill in the form
- Name: what it’s called everywhere, e.g. “Belt”.
- Type: Text, Number, Date, Choice (a list you type, one per line) or Yes / no. The type can’t change after you save.
- Who sees it: members can see and edit it on their profile; or admins edit it and members don’t see it; or admins only, for sensitive things like medical notes.
- Show as a roster column and Required (empty values get flagged).
Save
Click Add field under the form. It saves right away; there’s no separate save button for the tab.

Change, reorder or remove fields
- Edit renames a field or changes its choices and who sees it.
- The up and down arrows set the order the fields appear in on every member.
- Archive hides a field everywhere but keeps the values members already have. Find it under Show archived and click Restore to bring it back, values included. Fields are never deleted, so nothing is lost by accident.
Filling them in
Open a member on the Roster. Fields with a value are listed under Additional fields; tap one to change it. Anything still empty on the member (email, phone, notes, family, groups, birthday, address and each club field) is a + chip under Add details. Tap a chip and a short form opens for just that detail; save it and it moves up with the others. Admin-only fields say “Only admins see this”.
Admins also get shortcuts there: presets your club hasn’t added yet (under Suggested, which you can hide with ×) and + Custom field open Set up a club field, prefilled for a preset. It adds the field for every member, then asks for this member’s value. Manage renames, reorders or archives fields.

Add details
Members fill in their own fields from their profile (the Info tab) after they log in. Fields aren’t asked for at sign-up.
Roster columns and filters
Fields with Show as a roster column appear as columns on the Roster. To show, hide or reorder columns, click the sliders icon (Table settings) next to your club logo and use the toggles under Columns.
In the same panel, Filter by club fields narrows the roster: “contains” for text, a range for numbers and dates, and checkboxes for choices and yes/no (including “Empty” to find missing values). Active filters show above the table with a Clear filters link. Roster search also matches field values.
Filter by club fields
| Name | T-shirt size |
|---|---|
| Maya Chen | M |
| Sam Okafor | L |
| Priya Natarajan | M |
| Hannah Becker | L |
Import and export
- Export (the member “…” menu → Export) adds a column for every field, admin-only ones included.
- Import: name a CSV column the same as a field (e.g. “T-shirt size”) and the roster upload fills it in. The preview lists which columns it matched and any values in the wrong format. It only fills in new members, not ones already on your roster.
